Ian has over 22 years’ experience in the world of information technology starting on centralised mainframe systems, moving into the world of distributed PCs and now back to centralised cloud-based systems of this decade and beyond.
Having worked with a number of large corporates Ian became head of IT for a national homelessness charity in London 1999. During his time there he had the opportunity to become a founding member of ServCentric when cloud computing was still a twinkle in the eye. Sadly at the time the world wasn’t quite ready but a lot was learned in the process which helped in the formation of appiChar in mid 2001. Since then the company has grown to work with some of the biggest NFP brands in the world (whilst still keeping its smallest customers from the early days!) with offices in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra.
appiChar is helping to reinvent how NFPs use technology along with the Salesforce Foundation and many others. Look out for supporter360, the future of NFP supporter relationship management and fundraising.
